About Great News

Fantastic things happen every day, but still the main thing we see in media and the only stories we are told are bad news. We at KLM want to change that. As we travel the world we see that friendliness and caring can be found anywhere and everywhere. Little and big stories that connect us. So we sent out three reporters to find those stories. And as they share them with the world, maybe you can start to see what we see. And that, we believe, will make the world a greater place to explore.

Meet Marianne Bergseth

Marianne Bergseth is from Drammen, located just outside of Oslo. She has always loved to travel and report stories for Norwegian newspapers, magazines and TV. When asked why this is her greatest passion, her answer is that nothing is more rewarding than meeting new people and exploring different cultures. Up in the air she can spend hours just staring out the window, dreaming about her upcoming adventure. Marianne’s goal is to track down stories that are filled with love and humor.

Meet Olle Öberg

Olle Öberg comes from Uddevalla but lives in Stockholm since three years back. He works with social media, and loves film making. You might recognize him from the many social experiments he made on his Youtube channel STHLM panda. Olle believes that social media has the power to change and affect people, and that in these days we need to see one another more and focus on all the positive things happening everywhere. That is why he wants to share Great News from around the world.

Meet Monna Ali

Monna Ali is originally from Eritrea and has lived in Denmark since she was a child. Monna has always been surrounded by people speaking different languages, worshipping different religions and belonging to different cultures, and early on she developed a great interest in the world outside of Denmark. She studies Advanced Migration Studies and has lived and studied in different parts of the world. With Great News Monna hopes to bring strength to the relations between different people and cultures. As we share stories we will understand ourselves and the world better.

About great news

Temples near Old Bagan in central Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. These temples were built from the 11th to the 13th century and over 10,000 Buddhist temples were constructed in and around Bagan. This is one of the most famous tourist areas in Myanmar and for good reason. The temples are amazing. Some of them have bamboo scaffolding around them because this region was hit with a severe earthquake a few years ago and they are being stabilized. #bagan #oldbagan #myanmar
